2014 Porsche Cayman S - The Starting Line Featured Vehicle

This 2014 Cayman is one of the last models made before the mid-engine line branched off into the 718 generation. Likewise, it's powered by the traditional flat six engine instead of the updated turbo four. Giving similar sound and feel to the more recent GT4 Cayman, at a much more affordable price.

The 981 generation Cayman S got a significant displacement bump over the base model, with it's boxer engine punched out to 3.4 liters. 271 naturally aspirated horsepower is sent to the rear transaxle, with 273 lb-ft of torque and a 7,600 RPM redline. This one comes equipped with the seven-speed PDK gearbox, known for shifts that come smooth and fast. It can either be set in auto mode, or controlled manually via the console gear selector and low-profile paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Additional options include Bose audio, sport seats, alloy wheels, xenon headlights, and a Sport Chrono analog clock.

Power is delivered linearly all the way up to the rev limit, allowing the Cayman to accelerate up to 60 in a brisk 4.5 seconds. We think this is a perfect balance of performance in the sub-3,000 pound chassis. Bringing a great amount of power and speed without becoming a handful at the limit. A spacious rear hatch and front cargo hatch even make it one of the most practical sports cars around. It can even get up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway, making it daily drivable without racking up ridiculous fuel bills.

With under 22,000 miles on the odometer, this 2014 Cayman S has a long life ahead of it. The Starting Line is currently asking a price of $60,000. Contact us at (434) 830-1183 or Info@thestartingline.us to inquire and schedule a test drive.
